Terms of Use for Discord Bots
Last updated: July 17, 2026. This English version is a convenience translation. The German version is authoritative.
1. Scope and Consent
These terms of use apply to the Discord bots, bot features and related community services provided by Kaiser Software. By using a bot or by inviting a bot to a Discord server, you accept these terms. For individually commissioned bot development, the respective offer and the General Terms and Conditions also apply.
2. Permitted Use
You may use the bots only within the scope of the Discord terms of use, applicable law and the respective intended features. Server administrators ensure that they are authorized to invite the bot, to grant it the required permissions and to inform their members about its use.
3. Required Permissions
A bot should only receive the permissions that are required for its enabled features. Administrators must review roles, channel permissions and permissions before approval. Access tokens, webhooks, API keys and administration access must not be passed on to unauthorized third parties.
4. Prohibited Use
The following in particular are prohibited: abusive use of commands, spam, attempts to circumvent security measures, reading out or publishing other people's data, use for harassment or discrimination, and use for unlawful content or activities. The same applies to tampering with bot integrations, webhooks and connected systems.
5. Data Processing and Privacy
Information on the processing of personal data by the website and our own Discord bots can be found in the Privacy Policy. Depending on the enabled feature, Discord user IDs, server and channel IDs, roles, commands, timestamps and feature-related logs may in particular be processed. Message content is only processed where a specific bot feature requires it.
6. Availability and Third-party Providers
The operation of the bots depends, among other things, on Discord, hosting providers, APIs and internet connections. Uninterrupted or error-free availability can therefore not be guaranteed. Maintenance, security measures, feature changes and restrictions may be necessary.
7. Measures in Case of Violations
Where there are specific indications of violations, security risks or abuse, Kaiser Software may restrict features, remove the bot from a server, block access or secure necessary information. Where appropriate, the affected server administration will be notified beforehand.
8. Changes and Contact
These terms of use may be amended if bot features, legal requirements or security requirements change. The version published on this page applies. Questions about a bot, privacy or a block can be sent to kontakt@kaiser-software.com.
9. Notice on Legal Review
This page is a practical template for the current operation of Discord bots. Before binding commercial use, the specific bot features, data flows, target groups and moderation processes should be legally reviewed.
